Protein Pancakes

Makes 6-8 pancakes!

(approx 430kcal + yoghurt)

  • 50g oats
  • 30g chocolate whey protein powder (or any flavour)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cacao powder
  • Splash of milk

This recipe is the same ingredients as the muffins with a slightly different method. Just whizz the ingredients in the blender and then drop about 3 circles of the mix at a time into the frying pan (I use a few sprays of Fry Light), cook until little holes start bubbling then flip for a few minutes. Serve with the fruit on top and maybe some Greek yoghurt.

Please don’t fear Whey Protein Powder, it’s not just for Body Builders! It is after all just filtered milk and contains all 9 essential amino acids and is a really versatile and convenient ingredient. It’s also a great supplement for people who struggle to eat adequate amounts of protein
